EnviroCare Technology meets
or exceeds new SSI Regulations Set forth by the United States EPA.
Envirocare International has been a leader in the sewage
sludge incineration pollution control industry for over 18
years. On February 21, 2011, the EPA designated new emission
limits for SSI sources including Multiple Hearth Furnaces (MHF) and Fluidized Bed Incinerators (FBI).
EnviroCare International's patented technology has met or
exceeded most of these new SSI emission limits since our first
VenturiPakTM Scrubber installation at Indianapolis in 1993. In 1994, our VenturiPakTM Scrubber technology was granted BACT designation by the Massachusetts
Department of Environmental Protection. Our VenturiPakTM
Scrubber technology was once again submitted as BACT last year to the
U.S. EPA, in response to the initial SSI emissions proposal.
EnviroCare technology is ideally suited for the most
stringent regulations the SSI industry has seen. Our VenturiPakTM Scrubber alone will meet the new SSI limits for existing MHF's and FBI's. When the VenturiPakTM Scrubber is combined
with our "Star" Wet ESP, we can meet the regulations for new SSI units for
both MHF's and FBI's.
VenturiPakTM Scrubber &
Existing Incinerator Limits.
Our VenturiPakTM Scrubber has met the new
emission limits for existing SSI units (both MHF and FBI) for the past
18 years. Our VenturiPakTM Scrubber technology
can replace existing traditional scrubbers. In many cases, we can
retrofit existing units to reduce capital costs. Whether we
supply a brand new scrubber system or retrofit existing units, we can
meet existing SSI unit emission limits.

VenturiPakTM + Wet ESP vs. New SSI Unit Limits
Our VenturiPakTM Scrubber technology is so efficient that we can supply smaller diameter WESP's, mounted directly above our VenturiPakTM
Scrubber, to polish emissions to meet the new SSI unit
regulations. This allows owners to reduce the footprint of the
APC equipment inside the incineration building. For added
flexibility we can also supply the WESP as a separate unit.
