EnviroCare Technology used to meet California’s low PM Emission Requirements

EnviroCare’s MicroMist Venturi Scrubber Technology used in California to Meet Stringent PM Emission Requirements

EnviroCare recently supplied a new dry cyclone and MicroMist Venturi (MMV) wet scrubber in California’s Central Valley to reduce PM2.5 emissions from an agricultural dryer process. The process consists of the dryer followed by a dry cyclone,  MMV wet scrubber, ID Fan, and discharge through the stack.

EnviroCare International MicroMist Venturi Scrubber System

The bulk of the dryer product is removed through the dry cyclone. The remaining fine and submicron particulate entrained in the process gas is removed in the MMV wet scrubber. The MMV scrubber consists of a quench stage, a MicroMist Venturi tube stage, followed by a separator stage. After quenching and saturating the gases, the MicroMist Venturi stage is used to remove a majority of remaining PM2.5. The collected particulate is then separated from the saturated clean gas in the separator stage.

Emissions for the dryer system are consistent with natural gas fired boiler systems. Successful commissioning and stack testing of the equipment occurred at the end of 2021. To learn more about our advanced scrubber technology, visit our MicroMist Venturi scrubber page.
